We exist to bring the new analysis to global development issues that poor and vulnerable people depend on in order for their lives to be improved. The knowledge we generate and our Alumni play a significant role in making the world a better place.

Failure to base policy and programmes on sound political, scientific, economic and social analysis can have disastrous consequences for whole communities. Growing inequalities, social deprivation, discrimination, hunger and disease are all caused by poor decision making and neglecting to implement evidence based policy.

We are a registered charity with no guaranteed core funding, so philanthropic support from our alumni, friends and businesses is essential for us to continue our pioneering and influential work.
