Sexuality and Development Workshop 2008
Dates: 10 Apr 2008How do development interventions impact on people's sexualities? And how can development agencies move towards more constructive engagement with sexuality? These were the topic of discussion in IDS from 3-5 April, for more than 70 workshop participants from a range of activist groups, NGOs, universities, government bodies and donor organisations worldwide.
'Queering Development Seminar Series' 2000-2001
Dates: 20 Feb 2000 - 31 May 2001Why is development so straight? Sexuality is often ignored in development studies or practice, or if included, conceived of as a narrow form of heterosexuality. In early 2000 a group of students and staff at IDS got together to talk about this.
