Microfinance
IDS research and advisory work on Microfinance focuses mainly on social performance management.
The Imp-Act Consortium, a major consortium hosted by IDS, is a global group of organisations working to promote and support the management of social performance by micro-finance institutions (MFIs).
Seven leading practitioner-focused organisations are collaborating to train and support MFIs to implement social performance management (SPM) systems, build global capacity to support SPM, share lessons learnt and 'good practice', and promote an enabling environment for SPM.
