Thesis: Understanding Health and Safety: Livelihoods, risks and well-living in the mines of Potosí
Mei enjoys an interdisciplinary academic background with degrees in Public and Community Health, Social and Cultural Anthropology, Occupational Health and Safety, Social Development and in Social Research Methods in Development Studies. She has over 10 years' experience of work in the public and private health sectors and as an Occupational Health Adviser both in Catalonia and the UK. She also has experience of research and development work in Chile, UK and USA where she worked for the Inter-American Development Bank. Her research focuses on the linkages between Occupational Health and Safety and people's wellbeing in the Andean Region
