Biography
Rose is a DPhil student at IDS from January 2010 - December 2013. Her doctoral research focuses on examining policymaking in sexual and reproductive health in Kenya to understand factors that drive policy change. Her background is in communication and journalism. Prior to starting the doctoral study programme, Rose was the communications manager at the Nairobi-based African Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC) for six years until 2009. Her work involved in synthesizing and translating research for use by policymakers, program implementers, journalists and other general audiences. Her research interests include analysing policy processes in developing countries and the role of information and research in these processes.
