How do you like our improved website?

Our Beta version of the IDS website has been live and online since the 3rd of April. If you are a first time user or are a regular visitor, we would love to hear from you and your feedback of what you think of the new functionality and design.

About the Beta and Feedback

Feedback will be collected for a number of weeks then analysed for potential fixes or improvements. Of course, compliments are also very welcome.

What changes have been made?

From what you have told us over the past couple of years and by monitoring how you use the site we have prioritised the following:

• More multimedia – although we offered a number of audio and video resources on the old site, the new system can present these content items with an improved user experience in mind.
• More RSS feeds – The old site was limited to just news and events, the new system will see more feeds available so you can choose the subjects you’re interested in.
• Improved Browse by Subject content – For those visitors who want to find out about our research and are not aware of team structure, the Browse by Subject section has grown to cover all the development themes IDS deal with.
• Improved design and navigation – Content can now be reached quicker with less click-throughs. The new design has taken into account previous website feedback received as well consideration for usability and accessibility. We believe that the content can now be found and read in the best way possible.
