Reports Now available: The Social Impact of Crisis One Year On
A year on from research into the impacts of the food, fuel and financial crises in five developing countries, researchers returned to eight of the ten original communities to study how the global downturn had played out over the last year. These reports are based on qualitative research undertaken between February and April 2010 in one rural and one urban community in each of Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, Yemen and Zambia.
The research was conducted by Naomi Hossain from IDS and colleagues in partner organisations: Rizki Fillaili, Grace Lubaale, Mwila Mulumbi, Mamunur Rashid and Mariz Tadros.
The research was funded by the UK Department for International Development.
The reports and country summaries are available on the Crisis Watch Publications page.
