Each month we speak to two people working on development issues across the world, finding out a bit about their work and asking them 'What do you think is the big question that Development Studies needs to answer?'

In it's new programme the UK's coalition government declares that 'business is the driver of economic growth and innovation, and that we need to take urgent action to boost enterprise, support green growth and build a new and more responsible economic model.' But how can we mobilise businesses in a way that also leads to poverty reduction?

In this programme we speak to:

• John Humphrey, IDS Fellow and leader of the IDS Globalisation Team, about why it's important to think about business and development.
• Christopher Davis, International Campaigns Director at the Body Shop International, about why he believes their work is making a difference.
