Part Time (17.5 hours a week), permanent
IDS Knowledge Services are one of the IDS teams engaged in launching and delivering a range of projects to support a strategy aimed at promoting effective use of knowledge for development. The department works particularly closely with the British Library for Development Studies (BLDS) and the Impact & Learning Team (ILT) and increasingly with the research teams within IDS.
The Programme Co-ordinator works as part of a Programme Development team within the Knowledge Services Department, and plays a key role in supporting team coordination, fund-raising and programme management.
Applicants should be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience, should have an interest in international development issues and have experience of managing staff.
This post requires strong coordination, communication and project management skills. The role involves considerable interaction with colleagues from different parts of the organisation, as well as with external stakeholders and partners – and therefore a confident, proactive, diplomatic communication style is required, as is enthusiasm about the role of knowledge services in the development context.

Salary range: Grade 6 (£23,587 - £35,231) per annum pro rata
