Senior Nutrition Convenor (479)

Full time, 35 hours per week
Fixed term for one year initially subject to funding

IDS Knowledge Services is responsible for developing and delivering evidence based knowledge products and mobilisation strategies aimed at reducing poverty in the global South.

We require an experienced and highly motivated Senior Nutrition Convenor to manage co-production partnerships with organisations in the global south as part of a dynamic range of programme initiatives. The successful candidate will have specialist knowledge of health and/or education issues in development, likely to have been gained over two or more years.

The role will involve working with partners to mobilise knowledge on Nutrition to an international audience of policy makers and development professionals; developing partnerships and networks aimed at strengthening the global network of knowledge intermediaries in order to increase the sharing and effective use of research knowledge and working with local partners to write and edit a range of outputs and promoting innovative work with Southern partners.

You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, project management experience, and experience of managing relationships with international partners. Line management experience and a masters degree or equivalent relevant qualification or equivalent experience in international development is essential.

Salary: Initial appointment will be between £32,808 and £43,364 per annum, in the IDS Grade 7 range.
