Ewan has six years experience in development research and communications, with expertise in rural livelihoods, decentralization, climate change adaptation and natural resource management. He has designed and conducted research using multiple methods, including ethnography, systematic reviews and GIS. He has also developed strategic research communications to reach diverse audiences.

Ewan is currently working on agriculture nutrition value chains, in order to contribute to policies that leverage value chains for nutrition. The project is identifying opportunities and challenges for the private sector in delivering nutritious food to those who need it and accelerating progress on undernutrition. Ewan holds an MA in Geography and a BSci in Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.
