Biography
Jean-Pierre's research interests include mostly applied micro and macroceconomics and quantitative studies in development. He has worked on the institutional causes of ethnic conflict, especially state weakness and fiscal decentralisation. He also worked on the political economy of decentralised development in Sénégal. His postdoctoral work focuses on the relations between human development and violence in India at the household level.
