IDS Alumni among members of Global Development Advisory Panel
The Guardian newspaper's new website Global Development has chosen leading experts on international development to lead it's Advisory Panel. The panel will track and monitor news and commentary and add their expertise to the website.
Members of the panel include IDS alumna Alison Evans, Director of ODI, IDS Board of Trustee Chair Richard Manning and ex-IDS Communications Officer Laura Turquet. Alison Evan studied for her DPhil at IDS in the late 80's. Her practical policy experience stems from a specific focus on poverty reduction strategies, budgetary processes, aid modalities and aid effectiveness, plus evaluation. She joined ODI in 2006 as a director of programmes for poverty and public policy. For information about Richard Manning and Laura Turquet, see the Guardian website
