An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Manager to manage all aspects of the building and its professional support; and ensure a high quality working environment for staff, students and visitors.
You will care for and manage the building; support a programme of events and meetings; provide facilities that support excellent learning and teaching and welcomes staff and visitors; and lead the associated hospitality services.
You will support change, helping to define service standards, and think creatively about possibilities and ways of delivering services. You will lead a loyal team and manage them to deliver high levels of service in support of our core business.
You will develop a medium term buildings strategy; an asset register and maintenance plans. You will coordinate staff to support high quality meetings and events.You will ensure a strong health, safety and hygiene culture and commitment to customer service.
The successful candidate will have a Facilities Management qualification to at least level 4 or significant relevant experience or be studying the BIFM, RICS or equivalent qualification; and a NEBOSH Award. You will be practical and solutions-focussed; highly organised and highly responsive; knowledgeable about good practice; and experienced in service and buildings management. You will bring experience of team formation, leadership and performance management. You will be highly motivated and able to motivate others, with a supportive management style, able to lead change and win the confidence of staff across the Institute.
Salary: £34,478 - £45,572 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
