This edition highlights some of the key findings of the recent "Social Protection for Social Justice" conference held at IDS in April. The conference was organised around four themes:
- Constructing democratic governance: social protection and new social contracts
- Social protection and transformation of social and economic drivers of vulnerability
- Social protection and sustainable adaptation to climate and environmental change
- Social protection, inequality and redistributive justice.
