IDS welcomes participants to seventh Transforming Nutrition course

Published on 16 July 2018

We’re excited to welcome 27 participants from 11 countries to this year’s Transforming Nutrition short course at IDS.

The course brings together policymakers, researchers and civil society from various backgrounds who are eager to learn more about the latest knowledge and best evidence on nutrition globally.

IDS is proud to host this popular course for the seventh year running. The course introduces participants to new ways of thinking about undernutrition and what to do about it. By the end of the programme the participants will be better equipped to contribute to accelerating the reduction of undernutrition in their sphere of influence.

This year’s course is convened by Inka Barnett and Jody Harris (IDS) and Purnima Menon (IFPRI India), with contributions from Lawrence Haddad (Director of GAIN, former co-chair of the Global Nutrition Report, co-winner of the World Food Pize and one of the founders of the course), Stuart Gillespie (IFPRI and director of several large-scale research consortia aiming to address undernutrition) and many more.

We look forward to a week of inspiring presentations and deep discussions on how to tackle malnutrition in it’s various forms.
