Suralini Fernando is a Sri-Lankan born Australian lawyer, writer and child rights advocate. She completed her MA in Governance and Development with Distinction at IDS in 2013.
Suralini currently works at Save the Children International in Bangladesh in the Child Rights Governance team, specializing in analytical research and policy advocacy. She has strong technical capabilities in social policy and good governance (especially child-sensitive social protection and child-friendly local governance) as well as advocating for child and human rights. Her research interests include identity politics and conflicts, gender and feminist approaches to development, and global inequality.
