Deadlines

12.00 Wednesdays for personal adverts, 12.00 Thursdays for editorial copy and job adverts.

The Yellow Monday diary covers events that occur during the two weeks following its publication date. The news section includes recent trips made and planned by IDS staff as well as other announcements.

Print copies arrive with subscribers on the Monday, email subscribers and web viewers can read Yellow Monday on the Thursday that it is produced. Subjects must be development related, and long submissions will be edited down as appropriate. Ideally entries should fall between 50-80 words, excluding any contact details.

Advertising

Job Vacancies. It is free of charge to advertise non-IDS job vacancies. When sending vacancies please submit to the following criteria:

• 80 words or less
• Organisation name
• Job title
• Brief description of job
• Closing date
• Web address or contact details where potential applicants can come to you for more information.

It is not our policy to print salaries or logos on external vacancies. If further particulars are available on your website, please submit the web address so that the online version of Yellow Monday can link directly to them.

We cannot make any promises that the advert will go into the print edition due to space constraints. But it will go into the online edition which is published on the same day.

External vacancies will be advertised for one week only unless requested otherwise.

Personal Advertisements

Personal adverts only appear in the print and email versions of Yellow Monday. These cost £5 per week. Please note that the deadline is 12.00 on Wednesday (not Thursday). When sending in personal ads, please advise how many weeks are required and make your payment at the IDS Publications Office between 14.00 to 16.45 before the ad is due to appear. Cheques made payable to 'Institute of Development Studies' are accepted by post. Credit card payments are not accepted for items under £5.00.
