This webinar will interrogate the lifeworlds and agency of youth in humanitarian settings, and the implications for interventions. It is increasingly recognised that the needs and capacities of adolescents and youth are overlooked in humanitarian interventions. Their education is disrupted and many suffer from considerable psychological stress and trauma. At the same time, they continue to be motivated to move forward.
The webinar will be relevant for academics, policy makers and practitioners working in and on humanitarian interventions, outlining key research questions and findings, and implications for future policy and practice.
The webinar is the 6th and last in our webinar series on youth in Africa and MENA region, which is linked to the IDS Strategic Research Initiative ‘Ensuring decent work and inclusive politics for youth’ and is also part of IDS’ European Engagement Initiative.
