This event will explore the roots and legacy of the preference for ‘green’ landscapes and how this has shaped assumptions about desertification, degradation and pastoral ecosystems.

- Professor Brahim El Guabli is Associate Professor of Arabic Studies and Comparative Literature at Williams College, USA.

- Linda Pappagallo is postdoctoral researcher for the REPAiR Project and leads the initiative of Rangeland Myths.
