This one-day event will see the launch of a major new research report entitled Domestic Violence in Ghana: Incidence, Attitudes, Determinants and Consequences.
The research, undertaken by IDS, explored the prevalence, incidence, nature and key drivers of domestic violence in Ghana. It was commissioned by the Domestic Violence (DV) Secretariat of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) in Ghana and the UK Department for International Development (DFID).
The report includes specific recommendations to strengthen the implementation of Ghana’s National Plan of Action on Domestic Violence and the National Social Protection Strategy. During the event key findings will be shared with stakeholders and the Ghana’s national media.
