Through the Covid crisis, and global uncertainty, there has been a resurgence in global editorial media from newspapers to radio stations, independent broadcasters to specialist digital news sites. Counter to predictions that social media and citizen journalism would cause the collapse of news publishers, they continue to have fundamental role in mediating and influencing policy on the most challenging issues of today such as pandemic response or climate justice.
