The Human Resources (HR) team helps make IDS a good employer and a better place to work through our terms and conditions of employment and our employment practice.
Unless our practice is driven by legislative requirements, wherever possible, changes are arrived at after consultation and negotiation with staff and other stakeholders.
We work alongside line managers to give them information, options, and professional HR advice and to source appropriate training and coaching to support them and enable them to manage and make informed decisions in relation to their staff.
To provide staff with information about their terms and conditions of employment and to direct them to appropriate advice and support services.
To help ensure legal compliance through developing and monitoring appropriate policies, procedures and terms & conditions of employment, and by providing professional advice and guidance from qualified HR staff.
To protect and enhance the Institute’s external reputation through our interactions with job candidates and other external contacts.
