Dario Debowicz

DPhil Student

Dario is a development economist with interests in macroeconomics, structural adjustment, poverty and inequality. His MA was in Development Economics, and he has worked as a consultant for IADB, the World Bank and the International Labour Organisation.

He has lectured in Macroeconomics and Social Structure at the University of Buenos Aires, CGE modelling for IFPRI, and Poverty and Inequality at IDS. He has also tutored in the Globalisation and Inequalities course at IDS. He is interested in economic modeling in the framework of Computerised General Equilibrium (CGE) models and microsimulations, which he is using on his thesis (see ‘Thesis: Modelling Trade and Financial Liberalization Effects for Argentina‘).
