Deviana Dewi is an MA Development Studies alumna class 2014-2015. With an educational background of International Relations and Development Studies, she is passionate about international development on nutrition, poverty reduction, and social justice issues. Her particular interest is in the link between poverty and malnutrition.
Deviana is currently a Senior Programme Manager within Poverty and Social Development section at Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) based in the Australian Embassy, Jakarta. Most recently she worked as a project leader at the Centre for Indonesia’s Strategic Development Initiatives (CISDI). She has also been working as a research consultant for IDS on an ad-hoc basis for research topics related to Indonesia on malnutrition, poverty, and village-level governance.
Previously she worked as a full-time research assistant in the Health and Nutrition Cluster at IDS, and as a project coordinator at World Vision Indonesia.
