Emma Soye

MA Development Studies

Emma is a PhD student at the School of Education and Social Work, University of Sussex, researching school-based interventions for the wellbeing of refugee and migrant adolescents in Europe. Her research on wellbeing, migration and displacement at the Institute of Development Studies includes a scoping paper for the Global Alliance for Urban Crises on the vulnerabilities relating to protracted urban displacement, and a research project on the ‘Wellbeing and Protracted Urban Displacement: Refugees and Hosts in Jordan and Lebanon’.  Emma has also worked for GIZ and Save the Children UK on projects specifically relating to the psychosocial wellbeing of Syrian refugees in the Middle East.
