Professor Fang Jing works t the Institute for Health Sciences, Kunming Medical university. She her her phd at IDS 2002-06, supervised by Dr. Hilary Standing and Dr. Gerry Bloom.

Since then she has worked at the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) for three years, served as a member of the Gender and Rights Advisory Panel of the Human Reproduction Programme at WHO (2010-2013) and the Scientific Working Group at the Vector, Environment and Society Unit of TDR, WHO from 2014 to date.
