Since leaving IDS, I have been working at a Tokyo based research institute specialized in international cooperation. In the 1990s, I was involved in research work on “transitional economies” in East Asia, Vietnam in particular. In the 2000s, I worked in Jordan as an industrial policy advisor for two years, and also engaged in various private sector studies in South Asia.
For the last three years, I have been responsible for a PFM project in Ethiopia. Besides this, I teach Development Studies at a university in Tokyo on a part-time basis. See http://devnavi.org/ for more details (sorry, this is only in Japanese).
Studied: MPhil Development Studies 1989-1990
