Paula is a first-year postgraduate researcher at the Institute of Development Studies.

She is an environmental engineer specializing in public policy, with a master’s degree in interdisciplinary development studies from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia. Her current research focuses on the reframing the climate change agenda through decolonial approaches, alternative development theories, and emerging narratives from spaces of resistance, all aimed at reshaping the climate governance framework.  She has professional experience in developing and managing sustainability projects and strategies for both public and private entities. Additionally, she has been part of the leading team for international cooperation projects, human rights initiatives, corporate sustainability due diligence, and the implementation of sustainable development guidelines based on regulatory frameworks.
