GSDRC is a knowledge management centre supporting the work of the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), the European Commission (EC) and other international development agencies in the areas of governance, conflict, humanitarianism and social development.
We provide bespoke research and consultancy services in addition to the regularly updated information resources available on the GSDRC website.
The project began as the Governance Resource Centre, established by DFID in 2001. It expanded in 2005 to become the Governance and Social Development Resource Centre. In 2012 it gained additional partner organisations and further support from UKaid: GSDRC expertise now includes humanitarian as well as governance, social development and conflict issues.
