The Participation Resource Centre holds the combined collections of IDS and the International Institute for Environment and Development.
The Centre provides public access to over 5,000 books, documents, journals and dvds. Covering a wide range of practical and theoretical subjects, these resources include participatory methods, approaches and critiques from throughout the world, many of which are not available in libraries.
Details of the resources are available at participatorymethods.org: these can be searched, and copies downloaded where available. This website also provides news, event details and other useful information relating to participatory approaches and practice.
We operate a limited document delivery service for requests from the South. We are open every weekday and visitors to the Centre are welcome.
