How do we ensure no one is left behind in a rapidly digitising world? The Digital Development Summit 2017 is an opportunity to collectively envision how technology might be used to enable fairer wealth distribution and more sustainable livelihoods. The impact of automation and technology on the world of work has received widespread news coverage in recent months. Advances in machine learning and artificial intelligence are enabling headline-grabbing technology such as self-driving trucks, but work is also being
transformed in a multiplicity of ways by improvements in efficiency, and by enabling faster and deeper levels of globalisation.
