This Index was compiled from articles selected from more than 600 journals acquired during 1990 by the IDS Library (now the British Library for Development Studies) which houses the most comprehensive collection of periodicals in Britain in the field of development studies.
It contains articles dealing with economic and social conditions, problems and theory: works on education and agriculture are also included. Geographical coverage is limited to works on the Third World with special emphasis given to works published in the Third World itself.
