BRIDGE was commissioned by the Educational Division of the Department for International Development (DFID) to produce this bibliography on gender equality in education. The objective was to produce a practical and useful document to support DFID education advisers and those responsible for the implementation of education programmes and projects, to strive towards removing gender gaps in eduaction by the year 2005.
