Psycho-social Support for Women Affected by HIV/AIDS: a Handbook for Communication Skills Training

Published on 1 January 2007

The development of this handbook is part of a participatory action research program, ‘Towards a Continuum of Care in Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission Programs in Vietnam and Indonesia’, funded by DGIS, the Netherlands.

The aim of this research is to identify key elements of Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) care that have a positive influence on the quality of life of women living with HIV-AIDS, and show strong potential for wider application to meet the needs of the emerging national PMTCT programs in different countries.
