In the run-up to the 8th BRICS Summit, hosted by India on 15-16 October 2016, the Centre for Rising Powers and Global Development (CRPD) joined the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), the Observer Research Foundation, and other partners in the organization of the Indian Think-Tank Dialogue on Rising Powers in conjunction with the BRICS Academic Forum.
The Rising Powers in International Development programme is developing an evidence-base around the role of rising powers (including the BRICS countries) in development and will be producing practical policy guidance on effective approaches for engaging with them.
