New exhibition showcases resilience and resistance of women’s movements in South Asia

Published on 29 November 2024

The Sustaining Power (SuPWR) project, led by IDS, has opened a new exhibition showcasing art and imagery that centres the voices from 16 women’s rights movements across Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan.

Highlighting the resilience and resistance of these women’s movements, the exhibition speaks of women’s multi-faceted struggles and successes amid growing anti-gender backlash.

The exhibition will be open to the public in venues in Delhi, Kathmandu, Dhaka, Lahore and Brighton throughout the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, and the exhibition is also available online on the SuPWR website.
