Juan Fernando Tellez is an assistant professor of political science at The University of South Carolina. His research focuses on armed conflict, security and development, and post-conflict transitions and has been published by The Journal of Politics, The Journal of Conflict Resolution, The Monkey Cage, The Brookings Institution, and others. Tellez has also worked with governments and donor agencies on the design and evaluation of development programming, including projects for USAID and the World Bank in Colombia, Indonesia, and Guatemala.
