Salil Shetty is a Senior Fellow at the Carr Centre for Human Rights, Harvard University. He served as Secretary General for Amnesty International from 2010-2018. Before joining Amnesty, he was Director of the UN Millennium Campaign and the Chief Executive for ActionAid.

In this talk, Salil Shetty will discuss the significance of India’s recent elections, as well as recent events in Kashmir, putting these in the contact of the rise of Hindu rights, as well as in the larger global picture.
