Telling development stories through mainstream television documentaries can be a tough game, and often involves compromise between journalists trying to tell a compelling story and development agencies and researchers trying to present complex issues involving vulnerable groups.
How do we balance the opportunity to tell accessible stories about development to large international audiences against the need to empower people to safely share their lived experiences?
This seminar, jointly hosted by IDS and the International Broadcasting Trust will explore these opportunities and challenges from the perspectives of film makers, researchers and NGOs.
