The End of Food Ethics? Speculative Musings on Changing Technology, Consumer Choice and the Foods of the Future

Mike Goodman is a human geographer in the Geography and Environmental Science Department at the University of Reading. His research focuses on the cultural politics of food, environment and humanitarianism, alternative food networks and digital foodscapes.

Recent work includes that on Digital Food Influencers published in Geoforum and a new textbook entitled Geographies of Food: An Introduction with Bloomsbury. Other current research includes that analysing the ‘loudest’ influencers on Twitter during the Covid-19 pandemic and the shift in UK tabloid framings of food insecurity before and during the Covid lockdowns.
