Learning from a wide diversity of international perspectives

You’ll join an international cohort of learners, participating in seminars, lectures and workshops, and engaging in lots of discussions to ask questions, challenge ideas, contrast examples, draw on new wisdoms,
and seek to find ways of promoting equality and social justice.

Our course convenors and instructors are active researchers and aim to enhance the learning experience by bringing their applied knowledge and experiences of working in development, or ‘the field’, into the classroom.

A growing worldwide network

When you study at IDS you become part of a worldwide network that links thousands of alumni (working in 100-plus countries) and hundreds of current and former staff committed to improving lives. Find out how you can get involved and change lives with your IDS alumni network  and IDS Alumni Ambassadors.
