Ana Solorzano

Ana is a PhD student where she specializes in researching the linkages of social protection and climate change adaptation. For this matter, she is assessing the impact of the conditional cash transfer programme Oportunidades in the autonomous adaptation strategies of poor households in rural communities in Mexico which are constantly exposed to climate risks such as hurricanes and droughts.

Ana has engaged in work on social protection and rural poverty for more than six years, including practical and research work. Ana’s core research interest is linking poverty alleviation with climate change adaptation.
