Project

Business Innovation Facility

The Business Innovation Facility (BIF) aims to catalyse market systems change in order to benefit poor producers, consumers and employees. Specifically, BIF2 aims to achieve sustainable, large scale changes to the ways in which markets function.

This change in markets will lead to benefits for consumers, producers and employees resulting from improved working conditions or treatment, new jobs and employment, changes in supplying conditions, new or increased supply to businesses, and changes in access to or utilisation of pro-poor goods and services.

In collaboration with ITAD, IDS is providing support to the development and implementation of a global monitoring and evaluation system for the DFID-funded Business Innovation Facility (BIF). IDS is specifically working with local partner HamsaHub in Burma to develop and implement this M&E system.
