Gender and Development in Vietnam

The main objective of this project was the production of a summary gender equity strategy relevant to the five-year planning process, planning for the next round of the World Bank’s Poverty Reduction Strategy Credit (PRSC) and MDG reporting.

IDS Professorial Fellow Naila Kabeer led a team providing input on a strategy paper on gender and development. The main objective of this project was the production of a summary gender equity strategy relevant to the five-year planning process, planning for the next round of the World Bank’s Poverty Reduction Strategy Credit (PRSC) and MDG reporting. The summary includes a list of priority issues gleaned from a consultative process involving government, gender experts and other representatives of civil society.
