Violent Conflict and Human Capital Accumulation

The objective of this paper is to review the available evidence on one important micro-levelmechanism linking civil wars and long-term development outcomes, namely the level andaccess to education of civilian and combatant populations affected by violence. The paperis particularly concerned with the long-term human capital consequences of lost education.
