Brazil in the World

The return of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to the presidency and his announcement that ‘Brazil is back’ has been met with much expectation worldwide. Added to this, Brazil is a key focus for global policy engagement due to its role in leading the G20 and upcoming host of the UN climate summit COP30 in 2025, while the country’s stewardship of critical biomes, including the Amazon and the Cerrado, place it at the forefront of climate and environmental debates.
