When a massive Chinese factory complex attempts a high-stakes expansion in rural Ethiopia, three women in search of prosperity have their faith in industrialization tested to the limit.

Join us for a screening of award-winning documentary ‘Made in Ethiopia’, exploring the realities of China’s foreign direct investments in Ethiopia through the eyes of a Chinese investor and local communities.
Co-organised by the University of Sussex Business School and the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), this free screening will be followed by an expert panel discussion exploring the issues and implications raised.
