A Simulation Model for Education Development

Published on 1 January 1997

This simulation model has been developed to help educational planners and researchers analyse the financial impacts of policy interventions on the education system as a whole. It is extremely flexible in that it can be used at the country level or to look at particular groupings within a country (e.g. regions, districts etc.). Additionally, the model disaggregates enrolment data by gender so that the situation of boys and girls can be analysed separately. The model is provided as an EXCEL 5 workbook on a PC-formatted 3.5 inch disk and comes complete with manual.
