The Digitalisation of Social Protection in Africa: The Perspective of Marginalised Workers

This is the first study of digital social protection from the perspective of informal marginalised workers in Africa. The right to decent work including social protection is guaranteed to all citizens in multiple international human rights and labour rights conventions, as well as in African Union resolutions.

Land commoning in deagrarianized contexts: Potentials for agroecology?

Amid socially and ecologically failing food systems, land commoning has been proposed as a pathway to align food systems with agroecology and food sovereignty. This article aims to contribute to nascent understandings of land commoning movements in relatively deagrarianized contexts by presenting two distinct and complementary case studies in England and South Africa.
